Art Africa Colour Cure Exhibition was launched on 13th October 2022. The exhibition featured 10 female artists in Ghana in support of the Korle-bu Breast Cancer Surgical Unit.
Featured women artists were Betty Acquah, Dr Asabea Asare, Bernice Cooper, Nana Yaa Omane-Peprah, Victoria Adoe, Nyornuwofia Agorsor, Eba Ussher, Maitreyee Roy, Patti Blueh and Amerley Amartefio.
Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo attended the event on behalf of Lordina Mahama (Former First Lady of Ghana and Founder of Lordina Foundation). Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo recounted memories of close family and friends with breast cancer and re-echoed the need for all to support patients living with breast cancer. She also emphasized the importance of women getting screened (personally and professionally). She encouraged the audience to get actively involved in pushing awareness of breast cancer and drumming down the socio-cultural beliefs and fears many women have about breast cancer. The Lordina Foundation presented gifts to guests at the event.
Event partners were PaySwitch, One Heart Africa Academy, Igire Coffee and Crystal Health & Beauty Center. The Colour Cure event was launched on 15th October and was open until 13th November 2022.
