Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo at Art Africa Colour Cure

Art Africa Colour Cure Exhibition was launched on 13th October 2022. The exhibition featured 10 female artists in Ghana in support of the Korle-bu Breast Cancer Surgical Unit.

Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo represented H.E. Lordina Mahama (Former First Lady of Ghana and Founder of Lordina Foundation) at the Colour Cure event. She recounted memories of close family and friends with breast cancer and re-echoed the need for all to support patients living with breast cancer. She also emphasized the importance of women getting screened (personally and professionally). She encouraged the audience to get actively involved in pushing awareness of breast cancer and drumming down the socio-cultural beliefs and fears many women have about breast cancer.

Featured women artists were Betty Acquah, Dr Asabea Asare, Bernice Cooper, Nana Yaa Omane-Peprah, Victoria Adoe, Nyornuwofia Agorsor, Eba Ussher, Maitreyee Roy, Patti Blueh and Amerley Amartefio. The Colour Cure event was launched on 15th October and was open until 13th November 2022.
